How did Ben Stiller recieve a Razzie for Worst Actor in Dodgeball???

Sure, he was over-the-top, but the character needed to be over the top.

I felt there was no way he deserved the Razzie.

Wow, I can't believe he got a Razzie! That was one of the funniest performances ever! I don't think I've ever quoted a character as much as White:

"I see you have the scent of a lesser stag in your nostrils"

"You know in some countries they only eat vomit. I've never been there but I read about it IN A BOOK!"

Ben Stiller should get a razzie every time he's on screen. his dad is a better actor than he is... and jerry ain't good.

WHAT?! I had no idea he was nominated for a razzie, please tell me he didn't actually "won". Stiller was hilarious in Dodgeball.

i think he played a Mexican guy in Anchorman, which was pretty funny...he was ok in Starsky...didn't see Envy or Polly...but yeah he was hilarious in Dodgeball...and like someone said previously his character had to be over-the-top...fucking chuck norris...haha

I don't think the Razzie Award people fully appreciate that this was a comedy, and the kind you wouldn't really look for serious, sensitive acting in. His caricature treatment was appropriate for this film, and helped it to work.

Wow, I didn't know he won a razzie for this. Completely undeserving he was perfect in this... Those razzie people sure have lost their touch.

The Razzie's will ever understand true awfulness if they pick their nominations like this.

I don't have as much respect for the Razzies as I should. Because of this and other pickings. I think they usually leave the truly awful outside of the nominations and just pick on the popular titles and actors.

This movie was good fun cheese and it worked. Some critics have zero sense of humor.
