I probably laughed about 3 times. I can't believe this message board has been up here 8 years and no one has mentioned that. People rag on highly-rated, quality movies all the time and no one mentions how mediocre this movie is? IMDB is a quirky bunch.

shareI agree. This is quite possibly the most overrated frat pack movie ever!! I wouldn't say it war horrible, or even bad, it just wasn't laugh out loud funny as I expected based on what others put it out to be....

Other than Ben Stiller's character (whose meant to be laughed at), the majority of Dodgeball's humor was sexual innuendos or visual humor seen in countless films.

It was one of the few actual funny movies of recent times prior to "Romantic comedies" being the norm and only comedies made. Yes, Dodgeball is goofy, it's supposed to be. Yes, Dodgeball is stupid, it's supposed to be. To be hating on Dodgeball because it is stupid is to be stupid enough to hate on Dumb and Dumber for being stupid. Again, it's supposed to be.
I like it because it is funny and origional.
