Eating only fried dumplings for 15 years

The human body cannot subsist on a single food for a very long time (certainly not something like fried dumplings). Dae-Su would have most likely died of organ failure long before his 15 years were up due to severe nutrient deficiencies. It seems odd that Woo-Jin would put Dae-Su in this sort of mortal danger during his imprisonment, since his plans require that Dae-Su survive to be released.

You absolutely can live on nothing but fried dumplings.

There are single foods that a human body couldn't live off of for a sustained period of time (Extremely lean meats, vegetable oil), but not a compound food like a fried dumpling that has protein, fats, and carbs along with a myriad of micro nutrients.

Do you not remember, I dunno one of the biggest bits in the movie, where the song plays and he passes out? Remember they showed them drawing his blood? Stands to reason they also made sure to give him nutrients and such intravenously to keep him alive.

It was never said that he only exclusively ate fried dumplings, just that he ate a LOT of them & was sick of them. Besides, there are plenty of real-life scenarios where people survived on much, much less (like a cup of white rice per day), and lasted longer than 15 years. Sure they have vitamin deficiencies & probably felt awful but they didn't die of organ failure. Plus...it's just a movie, not a friggin documentary. There's a lot of things that require some suspension of belief in the movie...that's why it's called "fiction." I mean they also gas him with valium every single night to make him sleep for 15 years...valium is an addictive drug, he would have been in a total stupor from that alone. There are plenty of things in the movie that wouldn't really be viable in real life.

I can't understand your crazy moon language.

It was explained a bit better in the original manga, where he got more than just Dumplings and the story explains just how nutritious the food he got was and got it allowed him to be in good shape along with his training.

I didn't got the idea that he only ate that. He possibly ate some other stuff too, although it's been a long time since i last saw this film
