Something that never made sense
His wife seems so shocked and excited to find the "secret window" but if you're buying a house you most definitely walk around the outside. How would this window go unseen?

When they show the part where the wife discovers the window, you can see that the house is on somewhat of a hill and the part where the window is, is a sort of valley and walking around there would be impossible.
Hope that made sense.
She probably wasnt counting windows and marking the locations of each one from the outside though.
