Why no blood?

In the battle scenes, despite major mayhem, there is not a drop of blood visible! Is this a Disney prejudice,or what??

It's a movie targeted for kids, should not really go full Braveheart.

It also had horses with human bodies up front and beavers that can talk in English. I can accept that they don't have blood in this world.
