Twelve years. Twelve years, and...
...there still hasn't been a newer zombie film that surpasses this in quality.

And no sequel.
share"Wesker, you're pitiful. This is your savior? You say this failure is your savior?"
:p
I agree
shareThe battery easily surpasses this. Also, the first REC movie if you can consider the original a zombie film. Fido, even though its mostly a comedy... But really, dotd 04 is still a horrible movie, even worse now with age. Just because there haven't been many better films (most are low budget tripe) doesn't make this any better of a movie.
share7.4/10 after twelve years? I'd say "Dawn of the Dead (2004)" is holding up just fine.

Ratings don't mean anything. Watch the movie tonite objectively then come here and tell me how good it is
sharewatching it right now and it's great. REC is good but not anywhere near this in overall quality
If i go crazy will you still call me Superman?
I watch a million Zombie Films and this is the far superior to Fido and REC... I almost feel like that's a joke. Especially because if I were to go the alternative route, Shawn of the Dead AND Zombieland are better than Fido. I'd even say Cockney's Vs Zombies is better. I do like REC alot but it literally took its roots from this, 28 Days Later and the Found Footage Genre. It's a mash up of them all.
shareStill the king of the hill ξ.

REC and Quarantine are both scary while this truly is action all day.
shareyep. this movie is just too good.
You can't persuade fanboys. You'd be better off trying to convince a wall. ~CodeNamePlasmaSnake~

lol
shareI would agree with the other posters that REC probably edges this out, entertaining though it was. At least we have three zombie tv series, which seemed unthinkable back when Dawn 04 came out.
