IMDB eliminating message boards :(
I'm quite bummed to hear this. It's been an enjoyable part of my life ever since I joined in 2005.
What are some of your thoughts on this?

I'm not surprised like at all. If you go look around boards of shows and movies, you'd notice the overwhelming negativity flooding everywhere. When you want to discuss what you enjoy and what you appreciate about a show, all you can read is the script is stupid, the actor/actress is ugly or can't act, the jokes ain't funny, what's infuriating and what's dull etc. etc. etc. Seriously, from I've witnessed, the majority of people just come here to whine. Some popular shows and the latest movies boards are full of threads that are completely irrelevant. You either go with it or you quit the forum. Some people blame Trump's presidency because political threads have bombarded outside political boards which I can see why it's the last straw. I think they made a wise decision which I think should've been done a long time ago.
shareI also joined in 2005! My usual movie-watching routine includes a trip to the IMDB boards after viewing...WTF use is IMDB without them? Sadly they're gonna lose a lot of accounts (including mine) because of this. Oh well.
What I've got in my head you can't buy, steal, or borrow. I believe in live and let live.
