Oh my God! There was not one likeable character in this movie, the dialogue was cliched and corny, the plot was unnecessarily complicated - there was just nothing coherent here at all! Puke! Awful! The writers need a spanking!!!
I actually enjoyed this movie a lot. I don't see how the plot was unnecessarily complicated, everything that happened added to the movie in my mind. If you were confused by the whole thing go watch a simpler movie, your inability to follow a complex plot does not make this the "WORST MOVIE IN THE WORLD".
I wouldn't call this the worst movie in the world, but it was a disappointment. What could have been a clever critique about the ugly hidden face of conformity ended up developing into a vague and unsatisfying farse. I got the feeling that the director lost his way somewhere between "Fight Club" and "Dumb and Dumber" and I never managed to grasp the real tone and intention of the film. I particularly disliked Steve Zahn's painfully contrived and sophomoric character, which I felt added nothing to the film.
Matt Dillon likes playing dodgy or unsavoury characters in films that have surprise endings ("Wild Things", "Crash", "Something about Mary", etc) but this has probably been his worst choice so far. I am hoping his next one will be better.
I thought the movie killed an hour and a half. Yet all of you who saw it appear to agree with me. Yet, you are spending God knows how much more time sitting here ******** about it. Why not go post about a movie you did like instead? How pointless is it to crap on a movie you didn't like? How sad.
