With films like Date Movie, Epic Movie, Superhero Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie, is anything else that really needs to be spoofed?

Don't forget Not Another Teen Movie, which sucked. I only laughed twice through the whole thing. Still, I'd like to see them do Scary Movie 5, and then just end it at that.

Its the sad Epic Movie, Date Movie and Disaster Movie are the ones I can't stand. Guys getting hit by cars don't make me laugh. Sarcasm and ignorant idiocy does (aka Naked Gun, Hot Shots)
I liked all the Scary Movies, I just didn't care for NATM, and I haven't even bothered to see any of the other spin-offs.

Yeah, have to agree with Circular. Not Another Teen Movie, while extremely crude and tasteless at times, was a BRILLIANT spoof of every teen movie before it. What I loved about this, and the first Scary Movie, is that they were able to spoof EVERYTHING that came before them. Sure Scary Movie mainly focused on the late 90s films, but it was able to dredge up pretty much everything in the horror genre that came before it. And since NATM was the first real teen movie spoof, it tackled everything from Pretty in Pink to The Breakfast Club to She's All That and beyond. And that song (Prom Tonight) totally sold it for me. But all those spoofs of late make me want to throw up. They take a small handful of films, mix them up with some dart/fick jokes, sprinkle it with some cameos, and call it a film.

honestly scary movie is still ok, the other two douche-holes that make the other movie movies ought to die in a fiery pit of death and destruction
i didnt like 4 but 1-3 were really funny in my book, 3 would have been funnier if it were rated R

They not dying just yet....lol@ HappyBunny...but afterawhile people might get bored with them because they coming out back to back and some of them are pretty stupid or shouldn't have been made at all like Date Movie. I wasted my $10.00 I brought this movie at Video Warehouse and this movie maybe had like 2-4 funny parts and that's it. I haven't seen all of Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans I have to catch up on those movies.
The Scary Movie series wasn't so bad, Not Another Teen Movie wasn't to bad either I enjoyed watching that, the same with the classic movies like Naked Gun series, Hot Shots 1 & 2, and Airplane 1 & 2.
The scary movie 1 and 2 stuck with their logic. Just spoof mostly scary movies. Although later they started running out of ideas and put a whole lot of other movies as a dumb cameo. Same with Not Another Teen Movie it stuck with the teen love drama and didn't spoof everything else.

The scary movie franchise is still hilarious. My personal favourite was Scary Movie 3. It's the Friedberg and Seltzer movies that are ruining the whole concept of spoof movies... Disaster Movie, Date Movie, Meet the Spartans... All terrible.
I hope Scary Movie 5 stays true to the franchise and remains FUNNY.

Yet another agreement here... The Scary Movie series has always stayed funny despite some of the other TERRIBLE spoofs such as Date Movie etc.

Two of the hacks from Scary Movie, known as Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer, thought that they had humor and tried to created spin-off spoofs such as Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc.
Shawn and Marlon Wayans are comic geniuses. Craig Mazin even had a good try to continue the sequels. I even enjoyed some of Craig's "Superhero Movie."
I have not laughed at anything that Jason and Aaron have wrote outside of Scary Movie.
People need to stop going to their poor excuses to be called "movies."
