So what's next?

Not saying its a good or a bad thing, but with this movie, we were shown or the film attempted to show a more nuanced and balanced view towards, and in this case, a male, child molester. Without necessarily trying to make us feel too sorry for him but also not to despise him too much.

Shall we also have films that may do a nuanced and balanced view of someone who is a murderer? Or an adult sex offender of say adult victims? Or a terrorist? Or say a Nazi war criminal or something?

And would not making him (and maybe not always "him") say an outright evil villain/antagonist necessarily make for an acclaimed, worthwhile and thought-provoking cinema? Cheers.

P.S. Who, in all of this, is ultimately right? Should we totally despise some of those individuals? Or can some of them even redeem themselves and we shouldn't hold a complete grudge, insult them with swear words and all, after they served their sentence etc. And if they didn't - but maybe, they stopped offending, and the law is impotent to prosecute them etc - like, say if that happens and it sadly can happen in our flawed and far from perfect world of our humanity and our gritty reality?
