JFV is not as bad as you people make it out to be. In fact, I liked it... and I'm not the only one.

I thought it was really funny - it was kind of like a family-friendly comedy but not really a kid's movie - if that makes any sense lol

Actually I loved this movie. I was surprised to see that everyone hated it. I was laughing all the time. Is it on DVD??

It isn't an awful movie. It has its moments, particularly the "shot" scene.

But a lot of the characters are caricatures. And the ending, with the trucker being revealed to be the wife's stalker, was rather corny.

Cedric was really carrying the picture all by himself. Bow Wow didn't really add all that much.

I agree. There are parts that are drop dead hilarious! Like when they're all at the reunion and Nate and Mack see who can outdo each other during prayer.

The movie isn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I actually liked Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins a lot more. Still this movie doesn't deserve the rating that's up there. I would accept a 6 or even a 5.5 for this film. That's actually more accurate. I would ignore at least 80% of the 1 scores this got as most of them are from members who just want to sabotage "black film". For every black film that gets released on here, there are a few thousand members who will automatically give it a 1 rating without even seeing the movie. This is adamantly done to all of Tyler Perry's films. I could make up a group to do the same thing to other films, but I'm a lot more mature then that and believe it's just petty biased.

This movie is BAD. I feel so bad, my dad wanted to give it a chance he always roots for the underdog, i was probably 11 at this time. We rented it, didn't get past 30mins, it was so inappropiate and just flat out unfunny. Every "joke" was like a slap in the face, like the reference to the dead dog was supposed to be funny!?
