Jude Law's American accent....
was horrible beyond words.

yeah i can hear it slip throughout the entire movie, but hey if i was trying to talk in a british accent i would be messing up too.
shareAt least not as bad as when we do British accents. At least they can do many accents, we can't even do a freakin southern accent. So, I'd say his accent was pretty ok.

I thought it was decent enough. It sounded like that LA surf guy kind of...voice, but overall he didn't slip too much.

He does sound a little like he is "putting on" a voice. But that fits the character. He is supposed to be faking everything he does to make the image of Brad, corporate material.
Though, totally noticed the accent in the scene when his house was on fire. But everyone's voices break when they're having a meltdown.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty bad, and I'm English. He kept slipping. However, it wasn't so awful that it distracted me from the movie.
Brody: You're gonna need a bigger boat.

You should hear him in Cold Mountain. He's really GOOD as a Southerner.
If you can't be good, at least be good at it!
He was. I've heard a couple of British/Australian actors say that the southern accent is heavier and therefore a bit easier.
He was amazing in Cold Mountain. Heavy southern accent.
He slipped every other sentence in this. Maybe it was the tension on set or having to do a straight-American accent was harder for him.
Weird. I'm American, from upstate New York, and I'd forgotten he was British in this film. He sounded exactly like many people I know.
