Question about the death at the end

Did anybody else think the very last death in this movie was alitte bit to CGI?

You mean where Lance Hendrikson gets sliced into sushi? How else would you have handled that if not through CGI?

reply

You have him sushi'd with CGI of course but him lying on the floor taking his last breath could have been done with physical effects (like in the old days). Could have been good if done well, the beating heart would have looked better i'm sure but the i'm not a huge fan of CGI blood and gore, i like the real fake thing better.

reply

I think they should've actually killed him, to make it look more realistic.

reply

Yeah it looked really bad. And not in a good way. Cheap and unconvincing.

That kind of kill where someone gets sliced clean and the parts slide away was in vogue for awhile. Ghost Ship did it real well. I also remember it in The Cube and Resident Evil.
