Hellraiser VII: Deader or Hellraiser VIII: Hellworld?
I didn't got to see Hellraiser VIII, yet, but in your point of view, which one is better: Deader or Hellworld? (I know, everybody will say that the first Hellraiser is the best....:)))

shareDeader is singel handedly the worst Hellraiser sequel.
Hellworld is much better, it's the best of the part 5 and onwards of sequels.
And it has Lance Henriksen in it.

I just saw both on Sci-Fi Channel. I wasn't paying that close attention to Deader, but I honestly did like Hellworld, though I think it would have been a lot better if it had been a standalone movie instead of part of the Hellraiser series, kind of like Halloween 3 was in regards to it's series. In other words, from what little I paid attention to during Deader, I think Hellworld was better even though I don't think it should have been a Hellraiser movie.

Hellworld was better than Deader. But, truth be told, if I wasn't such a Hellraiser completest, I'd have passed on them. The first four Hellraiser films are the best of the franchise.

hellworld BY FAR. Hellworld is the best Hellraiser since Hell on Earth.
You're from the future?Well that's brilliant!Do they still have sandwiches there?
I prefer Hellworld to Deader. I don't dislike Deader, but I didn't feel it covered any ground not covered in Hellseeker or Inferno as far as a surreal descent into madness, twisting realities, and frightening imagery goes. The unique aspects of the story I just didn't really understand (the cult, the protagonist's motivations, and so on). I also found the female lead character in Deader to be even less endearing or easy to empathize with than the lead guys in Inferno or Hellseeker, despite the fact that they're both much worse people. At times they seemed to be going for making her remind us of Kirsty (and failing) and the rest of the time she was just this really unpleasant chain smoking woman with no obvious reason for her inexplicable behavior.
At least Hellworld had a totally new concept for a Hellraiser movie. I'm always hoping someone will make a good horror movie that centers on an online game. (Hellworld was good, it just didn't center on the game at all really.) Lance Henrikson was wonderful too. It's familiar, modern sort of slasher story. I don't see how people think it looks lower budget either - it's set in a beautiful house that is just a joy to examine and filled with interesting set pieces. The cinematography was artful. In Deader, aside from the subway train (which is pretty much my favorite thing about the film) there were really no other interesting sets. A ridiculous amount of time is spent watching the heroine wander around dirty, muddy hallways. I feel like much more could have been done here, some of the exterior shots of the city were very lovely. I thought the gore effects in Hellworld were equal if not a bit better and it didn't rely on gratuitous toplessness to interest the audience.
i agree, Hellword is better
First of all, Pinhead returns to be master of the scene, is not limited to a single final appearance as the chapters 5,6 and 7.
Furthermore, it was fun to see Pinhead in a slasher movie.
In the end, as you rightly said you Hellworld Had A totally new concept for a Hellraiser movie.
Deader is nice, but Hellworld is better.
My favorite is 3: Hell on Earth
Hellworld (8) by faaaaaaaaaaar, though it's still not very good.
And nah. Hellbound (2) and Hell on Earth (3) are way better than 1 IMO

Both are decent, but I pick Hellworld. Deader falls apart at the very end (since the ending is nonsensical), and it ranges from mediocre to bad at times (liked the character of Winter, though). Hellworld starts off somewhat slow, but gradually gets better, and the ending is much stronger.
