We here in in the USA get some of the UK's series on BBC America. I have discovered a few of them and I was wondering if some of you could tell me pros and cons of this one. It aired a couple of years ago there, and starts here this week.

I watched it in australia, found it completely addictive and I don't watch many UK soaps...especially Season 1...season 2 gradually gets heavier and slower..
But I also really liked 'Janis Steele"..thought she was smokin'.
I think it's a great series, I watched it when it first aired on Sky One and got the DVD box set recently to watch it again. The first series is definitely better with much stronger characters such as Emma, Jason and K.C, it's a shame they weren't in the 2nd as well. The plotlines just seemed a lot better and some parts of season 2 you feel they were running out of ideas, at least there is a lot more of Will in season 2, he sort of takes the mantle as the central character and he's brilliant. At first glance it just seems like a superficial Brit series, but there's a lot more going on under the surface with so many tragic plots and characters and you even feel frustrated with the way a lot of things end up. But this series has everything; drama, comedy, great cast and loads of beautiful girls, what more could you want!
shareI loved the first season, but they got rid of so many good characters by season two that I didn't enjoy it anymore and stopped watching after the first few episodes.
