I enjoyed the vibrant and unique visual style, the hilarious gags and the A-list talent that did an admirable job in giving voices to the characters.

Although I didn't like ben stiller as alex at first, that has grown on me a little.. I have watched this movie many times.. it was my only disk on a trip I took.. just randomly had it with me and ended up watching it every evening as I relaxed.. I love parts of it a LOT but it is a little slow in the beginning. It does build up and get's very good once they're on the boat... the penguins are awesome ("YOU, higher mammal, can you read??" - that line kills me for whatever reason), the monkeys are a riot ("if you have any pooh, throw it now!" lol).. the leemurs are great also..("moresse, you did not raise your hand so your hanis comment will be stricken from the record".. love that line).. My fav main char is Marty... then Melman (love Shwimmer's voice for him also).. but all four main characters are pretty likable I reckon. This movie grew on me tho.. sort of like "Just Friends" did.. now it's one of my favs.. but I do sometimes skip forward to the part when they get on the boat. :)
Also.. the Penguin's Christmas short on the DVD is a complete riot. great bonus material. ("bad dog Mr Chew.. you're on a BIG time out!" hehe)

I did not really enjoy the movie. The plot (if even noticeable)was weak, and overall the movie left much to be desired. Put up another mark for Pixar animation over Dreamworks animation.
NO. it seems they wasted all available budget on the big names and had basically nothing for graphics, jokes or storyline

It was unique in its presentation and very funny! I thought the casting selection was great.
