Did you enjoy 'Madagascar?' Answer YES or NO

For subequent posts, just say YES or NO. Feel free to elaborate on why you voted thus, but please keep the flaming to a minimum.

YES.
I enjoyed the vibrant and unique visual style, the hilarious gags and the A-list talent that did an admirable job in giving voices to the characters.

YES, I loved it because of the music and the many references to other movies. I thought it was brilliant.

reply

NO. Very little plot and annoying characters. All I slightly liked were the random movie refrences thrown in for the older crowd that made me want to watch those instead. Worst of the year.

nobody in the main cast was likable
id their were no penguins in this movie
this movie would suck

reply

NO!

Stiller and Schwimmer are HACKS. Who wrote the script? Not to mention the total absence of background music. This is exploitation -- kids will watch anything CG apparently.

Horrid movie. My brother and I just walked right out of the theatre. The story was terrible, the animation was playstation 1 and the comedy was quite british.

Ice age (1+2), Shrek (1+2), The Wild; These are just some examples of good movies with good stories and good comedy.

There are some jobs that have no profit or loss, yet it is neccessary to do them.

NO

sadly, i really thought it was gonna be a good movie :(

reply

I probably would have, but Chris Rock's voice makes me want to rip my ears off.

reply

Yup, liked it. It's not an instant classic or anything, but it's a fun diversion, which is all a movie really needs.

YES! YES! YES!

If nothing else, it definitely entertained me.

YES I DID.

I'll agree, most of the main characters were weak (Stiller, Rock, and Pinkett-Smith were pretty useless and wooden). However, i admit that i enjoyed the movie, especially King Julian (Sacha Baron Cohen). He, as well as the penguins, made this movie. This is yet another example of scene-stealing minor characters. The lemurs were humorous, if kinda random. Melman was definitely the most entertaining/least annoying of the main characters.

And face it people, CGI movies are MADE for kids. Has there actually been a single majorly released CGI movie that is not for kids. Don't knock a movie just because it is simply made for its target audience.

Hell Yes! This is by far the funniest Animation flick after Shrek. Two thumbs up to Sacha Baron Cohen. "I like to move it move it" FTW!

Oh heck yes! I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 21 and we both loved it. All my sisters as well. It's incredibly hilarious.

Good animation. But,lousy storyline, annoying characters, stupid jokes.I think they're tryin' too hard to make people laugh.(although some people did laugh)
There are lots of other cartoons that are way better than this one.I bought the DVD but never ever bother to watch it again after watching it a couple of times.

Sorry,no offense to the fans...heheh....

NO. If you are intelligent, you will find this movie completely BORING. I think I might have laughed 2 times during the whole show. For a movie aimed at a younger audience, there sure are alot of crude jokes! Great - crude jokes for the parents and potty humor for the kids?! What kind of children's show is that? I guess our society is filled with a bunch of morons.

...to keep the flaming (insulting) in this post to a MINIMUM? You really didn't need to say "society is filled with a bunch of morons" (at least not until you see "Idiocracy," anyway).

reply

YES, because I'm not some weird person that takes shots at animated movies because they weren't as good as Shrek or Finding Nemo.

Next time, make better decisions on what movies you see or rent. Look it up here, or Rottentomatoes and read some reviews from both critics and average joes.

reply

YES, because it was cute, and exactly what it was intended to be. Perhaps even a little more.
