I enjoyed the vibrant and unique visual style, the hilarious gags and the A-list talent that did an admirable job in giving voices to the characters.

Madagascar looked good, the actors and animators did a great job making the chracters were well-rounded and believable, the humour was really funny, both the visual humour and the verbal gags. But best of all, I could actually imagine a lot of it happening... which might say a more about me than anything else.

It had one of the poorest plots of all the hyped-up CGI flicks I've ever seen.
And I laughed out loud maybe twice throughout the entire thing.

Hahaha, that would be a 'NO' for me too. Just because you're an "A-List Star" doesn't mean AT ALL that you can effectively accomplish voice-over acting, not mentioning any names (Chris Rock and Cedric the Entertainer). I also laughed probably once or twice throughout the whole thing. I'm so glad they're making Madagascar 2!! Just another stupid pile of mindless crap for our kids to be fixated with.

It was okay. The story was very weak. The animation was pretty good. The music was so good, so it was a fun movie, but just a weak story. I personally perfer Ice Age movies instead.

YES Above average animated movie that is entertaining and well animated. The plot is very predictable and there are one or two uneven parts, but it is a lot of fun.
