Guinevere's battle outfit

I remember back when this movie came out, so many offended viewers moaning about Guinevere's skimpy leather outfit that she wore into battle, complaining about the impracticality of such a getup for combat, and accusing it of being just a gratuitous way to show off her midriff and make her look sexy.

But when you think about it, her outfit was actually very, very modest, considering that the real-life blue-painted Picts of ancient Britain charged into battle COMPLETELY NAKED!

I would have to agree. I think the real controversy came from that doctored movie poster they used to promote the film, which showed her with golden skin, a larger pair of breasts, and woad tattoos she wasn't wearing in the scene.

Good point. It was ridiculous for them to build up her bustline like that.

Hey, we're selling tickets here.

It was a good movie, and she had a good role in it.
