Force Awakens tells the same story with new characters while Superman Returns recasts all the characters with new actors.

The Force Awakens Tells The Same Story with new Characters

its not a 1 for 1 though also The Force Awakens has been mutually loved like Rogue One as well Rogue One is more a remake to A New Hope than TFA both are excellent neither are 1 for 1 please watch The Gold Mans Video Essay on it.
