The world of tomorrow has no black people in it.

Why?

reply

Because black people are extinct in the future.

Just kidding.

What's more interesting is that there are insecure, politically-correct obsessed people like you who actually bother posting threads like this.

You know, I watched New Jack City recently, and there were NO WHITE PEOPLE in it!!! Get it?

Relax.

A.) "Welfare has been abolished, so all the black people fled the planet."

B.) "No crime in the future, so there were no black people featured in the film."

C.) "All the black people had moved to Austria and none of the scenes were set there."

Who started this stupid thread?

For every movie that comes out, there is some troll (usually not even a black person) trying to start *beep* by saying 'There are no black people, or 'Racist movie''....

Even though she didn't do much, the film had one person of color: Bai Ling, who is pretty sexy in her leather bodysuit...

Damn, Judd Nelson is black?

Those Italian-American actors in the film were portrayed by BLACK PEOPLE?

That's some damn good acting!!

Rent some movies from the 1930s and study the black characters. If the director decided to include black characters does do the horribly unthinkable and stay true to the concept of a 1930s movie shot with moderns 21st Century technology and get Ahmed Best or on of the Wayan brother's to do their own horrible Stepin Fetchit style grinning darkie stereotype (or "better" yet just CGI Fetchit into the movie?)

Or do we cast someone like Cuba Gooding Jr as Dax without changing the character in anyway? (this would be my choice, although I offer no dis on Ribisi. He's great)) Although even with a black Dax with no story changes the community would still find something wrong with the character. People accused George Lucas of making Lando "A Jive talking betrayer" in the Empire Strikes Back fully ignoring his moral conundrum and his ultimate actions of redemption.

Twenty years later Jar Jar Binks was designed and created and only at the last min did a black-man end up voicing him, the multi-talented Ahmed Best, the Stomp cast member was initially hired to do his motion capturing only. IMO had ppl not been told he was played by a Afro-American no one would have noticed. I've done voice work and to me and nearly everyone I ask Jar Jar doesn't sound black, look black or act black. He's just a goofy alien. I can even do Jar Jar. This didb't stop Media whore, full-time race baiter and occasional filmmaker (oh sorry "Joint-roller") Spike Lee from making public statements against Lucas and Jar Jar in May on '99 even though he admitted he hadn't seen the movie, not even a clip. He had just "heard from 'friends" that it was terrible and racist".

Someone on this thread mentioned Captain Katonga (sp?) in Raiders but his character received criticisms. Katonga was seen as a pirate ready to deal in the white flesh trade (although anyone with a brain knows it was a front to protect Marion from the Nazis, however those who cry racism every chance they get rarely take the time to think things through.

Hey, that's a good idea! Stepen Fetchit would have made a good Totenkopf! Imagine the menace he would have created in the role. But seriously, this is a stupid thread. Yes, there were no black people in "Sky Captain". So what. Who cares. I didn't even notice.

It's not really the world of tomorrow, it's set in 1939. It reflects the social realities of the day. If black people had been included it would be in roles that are not flattering to black people today.
