'The Most Boring, Tedious, Solemn, Self-Important Film Ever Made'

Its a film that is respectable but also very taxing to watch. Many other films have tackled equally demanding subject matter without such a ponderous approach.

The problem was that it was about an hour too long. A little editing would have made a better film.

The main thing that annoyed me was the giant plot hole. I mean surely the first thing the CIA boys in the back room should have done
is trace the guy who dropped off the letter and film, and what they knew about who had filmed the guy and the woman having sex
and find out who shot the damn film of them having sex
i mean its so obvious!!
and would have saved lots of time , instead of all this

and it's dumb
i mean if they go to the trouble of standing inside someone's room while they are having sex and film them,
obviously its not going to be too much trouble for whoever then drops off this movie of them doing it, and posts it through Liberace's son's door, its not too much for them to at least say where they filmed the couple doing it, is it?
just stick a note in the envelope!
its not that difficult to do.

WHY DONT THEY MAKE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AS GOOD AS THEY DID BACK THEN?

I found the first 45 minutes of the film to be exactly as reported by the OP. Seemed to be a lot of dead space going nowhere. Once I got to the 2nd hour it became a riveting story that I had to finish watching. I gave it 7/10. Would have been an 8 except for the annoying music score. The sound editor should be fired.
