NOBODY would sympathize if she was a man
Absolutely no one.
shareA good example is the guy who supposedly raped her. Even if he did rape her (which I don't believe at all), why didn't Aileen or any of her supporters take into consideration the horrible childhood he may have had? At least he didn't kill anybody!
shareSome twits would argue rape is worse than murder. That's probably part of the reason why people don't pay attention to that reality you've pointed out
shareDon't know necessarily about "worse" but it is, for one, highly unjustifiable and never right, so its somewhat understandable, also, did that rapist REALLY have a horrible childhood? In one film about such character called "Rage" (1981), the man actually DID, even if it doesn't excuse him much at all.
ALSO... We often hear about why this happens, why that happens, why something DOESN'T happen and...
Does it always happen this way for entirely SELFISH reasons?
And why can't we see certain individuals as evil VILLAINS and not, you know, flawed even if guilty offenders, and plus... WE MAY NOT ALWAYS KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT PERSON. Right?
2 OP - are you saying that you detect in here DOUBLE STANDARDS with which you strongly disagree? And are people here unfair for the sake of being unfair or even just still unfair even with potential "understandings".
Or do you somewhat agree with that or...?

I have no sympathy for her even though she was a woman. There is no excuse for any of what she did. She got what she deserved in the end.
