Ebert does not get it.


Great critic that he is I find sometimes he wouldn`t know good horror if it bit him in the arse. Here`s the link:

I think critics often miss the mark on horror- more than any other genre. I would never trust ebert's opinion on a horror film. this film is one of the better horror films, but can also be picked apart by an anally retentive movie critic

Ebert did get it. He didn't describe anything in his review that we didn't in fact see on screen. How else is he supposed to summarize the plot without giving away the "twist" ending? He can't. He was basically saying that the twist wasn't good without giving any of it away.
