5 things I Learned from watching 'Cellular'

1.) A license to teach high school biology is also a license to kill. >:D

2.) Jessica Biel will take any role she's offered.

3.) William H. Macy is usually the best thing about any movie he is in.

4.) Cell phone signals can cross paths and eventually, a call can be transferred from one phone to another??!!

5.) Nokia cell phones are waterproof.

Now hold on, it's not completely impossible for a phone to be waterproof. My cousin is horrible at keeping her cell phone safe, because she literally has it all of the time, and I know she's gotten it wet more than once. It works perfectly, and I don't mean wet like it got a little rainwater on it. I mean wet wet.

The rest of my post didn't have to do with that quote. It had to do with the whole argument.

6. Cops don't ask people to show ID when they are checking up on alleged kidnappings.

7. It's worth killing a sh*tload of ppl on the freeway in order to save a stranger you know nothing about.

8. Threatening people with guns and leaving a thousand witnesses, rob banks, getting through airport security, carjacking twice, all that is safer and easier than to let the cops trace the call. He even called them back later in the movie :)

The weakest part of the movie was when he left the police station because of the bad signal on the 4th floor.
Loved the movie though.

well since you're naked you might as well f___ a friend of mine. Paul come in here!

reply

6. She was in her house no need to ask for ID actually.

7. No one died moron.

8. Well he couldn't let the cops trace the call. The cops were the bad guys and he was losing the call which is possible. Especially in 2004 when cell service was especially horrible.

Well this is an old post, maybe you have learned in ther interrim - you kinda missed the point of the OP, didn't ya. "x Things I learned from this movie" is almost always intended to be SARCASTIC and points out things that happen in the movie that DON'T happen in real life - hence "I learned them from the movie".

So: yeah, cell phones are not, generally, waterproof.

9. There's no security at the car pound

10. Builders dump a load of carpet underfelt into the rubble skip just in case anyone falls down the chute while they're not there

11. A Nokia mobile phone only loses its battery and battery cover when you drop it off the 6th floor, but if you leave it lying there long enough to slide down the same distance yourself the circuit board jumps out and the display separates from it

12. You only lose signal in stairwells and tunnels after you have been in them for 3 minutes, and the further you go up a stairwell the worse the signal gets

reply

9. Their wouldn't be.

10. That point is just stupid.

11. Moron.

12. Yeah that does happen.

reply

"There" not "Their".. learn the difference.

reply

Oh yeah...

13. You can transfer video cam footage to a cell phone in no time and with no external equipment, and it even displays on the phone in *better* quality than it did on the camera

reply

He could have recorded the video from the camcorder with his own phone's video camera.

reply

He could have, but it wouldn't have looked as good as the recording shown.

reply

13. He recorded the video with his phone. Remember his phone has a camera idiot.

reply

Lol all the name calling here.

14. Some old lady (the one who played a HS teacher on Hilary Duffs CINDERELLA STORY) will get down to modern day rap.

15. You can go thru airport security without showing your ID

reply

Almost every phone I've had has been soaked somehow & still worked. So, you got to do more homework on your profession.

"I want my environment to be a product of me."

reply

I have a secondary cellphone that accidentally fell in the bath tub full of water and its still working. My main cell phone has gotten wet (and I mean really wet) from rain more times than I can care to count and its still working.

reply

If the phone was off when it was submerged and then dried out before powering it back on it would still work fine. Is the cell phone company you work for Toys-R-Us?? :D

And there have been plenty of waterproof phones available to consumers for a very long time so THERe IS SUCH A THING!!! The Nokia 6600 is not waterproof however..

Also the OP was poking fun at the movie and was NOT insinuating the 6600 was waterproof.

1. She didn't have a license to teach high school bigloy. She had a degree in biology. She taught 10th grade biology. And the way she killed him is something you would learn in a biology class and while getting a degree.

2. So what?

3. This movie could have done without William H. Macy and Chris Evans was the bet thing about this movie.

4. Yeah that can happen.

5. The phone ever actually went in the water.

reply

Not one person has mentioned the fact that Ryan is able to hear what Ethan and Jessica are talking from their end so clearly even when the phone is covered and they move over to the window on the other end of the room.

Very good. But brick not hit back!
