Cloning plot was confusing as hell and made no sense
Okay, so the original kid was killed in a car crash and the make a clone of the kid. At first they go this uninspired "Omen" route by making the clone do evil things. Then it's revealed that the clone actually has memories of another kid who was actually evil and that's why clone is an evil version of the original kid. Like were they actually too ashamed to rip off The Omen that they needed this stupid extra convoluted plot about another kid's memories being added to the clone? Like even Jordan Peele's Us wasn't this bad and the plot twist was a lot better than this.
Yet people call Jordan Peele's Us as bad movie? No, it's not. This is way worse. At least Us was a decent flick if you look past the obvious cheap plot twist that can be predicted just 5-10 minutes into the movie. This movie was just plain bad and it could've been decent if they just made it more original and stopped trying to be two crappy movies at once.
Hell, even Replicas (which had Keanu Reeves) is a way better movie with a similar premise about a man who loses his family in a car crash and the cloning in that film was at least straightforward and not filled with bad plot twists. It too gets a lot of hate but it's still better than this damn shitty movie.
