The end of the movie??

What was the thing with Adam2 getting "dragged" into the closet by someone/something? I cant figure out eve a half possible reason..

Ok this is my interpretation of the ending. Ok When Adam 1 died (their son) they wanted him back so the doctor helped them bring "adam" back when is Adam 2. When Adam was born, there was still a little bit of Adam 1 in him- the memories, his spirit etc. Just think of them living in the same body, and Adam 1 (their son) and Adam 2 (Zacharary) were fighting. My best guess was that Adam 1 was fighting to come back and at the ending scene that was him in the room, but Adam 2 (Zachary) won and then dragging him into the closet finally taking over his entire body thus making Adam 1's spirit disappearing allowing Adam 2 to take full control forever.

Lol Just my two cents,

I totally agree with Cheyenne. I just watched this movie (hated it, btw), but I believe the ending was to show that Adam2 had finally been taken over completely by Zachary. So, although it doesn't show it, I think we are to assume that the kid is now totally evil and will probably kill the parents, destroy the house, etc.

As long as there were still "Adam1 memories" present, the kid was able to fight the evil. Once his 8th birthday came and went and there were no more Adam1 memories, the Zachary evil began to take hold, culminating in the change of towns.

I thought this was, for the record, the STUPIDEST movies I've ever seen. My 13 year old had figured it out in the first 5 minutes.

Variations on this concept fascinated me but mostly haunted my imagination.

This film could have gone deeper into the flashbacks.

It freaked me out to imagine being "visited" during dreams by a co-entity that was antagonistic and attempted to dominate during consciousness.

I suppose it's possible to rewrite this film into a better release, but I doubt if the same actors would want to reprise their roles.

It basically meant that the Zachary side to his split personality which was originally believed to have been overcome had now become the dominant one and that it had basically threw the Adam personality into the depths of his mind.

It's pretty obvious Zachary is the one in control at the end due to the cold emotionless manner he talks to his father in.

Basicly the movie is pretty compicated. Zachary was supposed to be Zachary 2 as Adam2. That means original Zachary died and De niro reborn him as did with Adam. I believe tha Zachary saw the pictures of the real Zachary (the first one) and thats why he got crazy and killed his family as did with himself. Adam2 saw the pictures of real Adam and then got crazy but he also had the memories of Zachary. Anyway everyone remembers the start and the end of a movie. THat movie had no ending thats why it will be forgotten. The plot was quite good as the direction was. But after the part where De niro said he has given memories of his son to Adam2 started getting pretty confusing. It was like the writter didn't knew how to continuou this story...

Here's an ending for you: KILL THE DAMN KID!

The ending really bothered me. What the hell was going on? Unless the folks who made Godsend want you to interpret your own thoughts on the ending.
