I have. Ex ended up with a guy making 150k a year so she got her wish. Haven't even tried dating since and that was a year and a half ago because I feel like I'll never meet another one like her. I really don't understand how money can trump the heart and soul and feelings one has for another.

Eventually, I achieved an income the first one would have found acceptable. She married a well-off guy who ended up beating the crap out of her. I've been happily married for over forty years.
