Cruise's best film

shareI thought The Edge of Tomorrow and A Fee Good Men were his best.
share"Magnolia" and "Born on the 4th of July" are the only movies where Cruise plays a character that truly unravels and changes at the end of the story.
Vanilla Skye was almost as close but it had a Sci-Fi twist that explains his character change rather than an emotional journey from real life experiences.
In Collateral he plays a bad guy with a tormented past and he skillfully makes the audience empathize with his persona, but Michael Mann binds himself to the gangster modicum and kills off his character. I would have loved to have seen Vincent escape but fail at his mission in the end only to imagine him returning to another mission impossible.
