Can really a sword cut through a rifle?

It's hard to believe that... maybe if the swing was super fast it could be, but I doubt it. What do you think?

No. Why can a blade that can't cut clean through an armor do that to a rifle? That scene was just for kicks and not to be confused with reality.

No, you cannot cut through a steel gun barrel with a sword. You may put a small nick in it and cause great damage to the blade though.
