Mission Impossible 3 SAVED The Entire Franchise

Mission Impossible is one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. Especially the later sequels, having put some of the greatest stunts ever put to film. But we would not have these spellbinding movies, if it weren't for Mission Impossible 3. MI:3 completely changed the tone and landscape of what these movies could be, and introduced a new style of action that would carry through the rest of the franchise. Mission Impossible 3 absolutely saved the franchise.

I agree 100%, it turned it around after that slo mo trash M:I 2

I actually consider Ghost Protocol as the one who saved the franchise and reinvented the formula which is still being followed (with some slight improvements) to date.

Also starting with Ghost Protocol was that these movies stopped being standalone installments and began having callbacks to previous events/characters.

Anyways they are all great entertainment... except for part 2 lol.

Well, MI: 3 was a step in the right direction after the Godawful MI:2, but really, GHOST PROTOCOL saved the franchise and it's been awesome since then
