the Train Scene

Is this an actual train line or just made for the film?

Where exactly was it supposed to go to as they already went past the station and people was waiting to get on but after that it just ran on and then the tracks just ended at the buffers overhanging the sea?

Who cares, it was one of the best scenes in a superhero movie ever.

Well clearly i care seeing as i asked the question.

I couldn’t agree more, one of the best special effects sequences ever imo, awesome!

I want to believe the track ended not too far past the last station, even though it's easy to get the impression that the track went on far longer.

That shot of Peter telling the passengers that he got a few more ideas on how to stop the train is a Continuity Error. All the other shots before and after (including the Spider Sense sequence) shows that the train is clearly reaching a dead end and that there are no more civilians waiting to get on besides that one shot of Peter.

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to make a turn somewhere and go around the city, but since Doc Ock messed with the controls, it kept going in a straight line and would've crashed through the dead-end had Spidey not stopped it.

I'm no train expert, but it could've been based on any one of the following train lines:

and since the movie takes place in 2004, keep that in mind when looking at the train lines that leave the city as, in the movie, the train line wasn't finished.

Sounds like that plot hole guy should be all over this thread...
