i just finished re-watching this movie again (which is probably the first time i re-watched it in roughly 3 (maybe 4) years) and it's still top spec and is my #1 movie of 2003 and in my Top 3 Westerns ever (like i said in my initial post in here) and it's one of the most memorable movies of the 2000's decade and just one of the best movies out there in general as out of the 1650+ total movies i have seen this would most likely be within my Top 30 or so movies ever.

this movie never gets old and stays top spec on re-watches as time passes as i first seen this back when it was new in 2003 and it's still top notch to this day as this is one of those movies that will stand the test of time quite well.

10/10

p.s. i don't hand out 9/10 or 10/10 ratings much either as out of the 1650+ total movies i have seen only around 80 (maybe a bit less) movie total have landed on one of those tow ratings (i think there is around 30 movies i gave a 10/10 to though). so as you can see it's fairly rare to get that high of a rating from me. hell, even 8/10's (i.e. my minimum to consider a movie truly memorable) ain't easy to come by but they ain't as rare though either.

Illusions Micheal..illusions...tricks are something that a whore does for money.....or Cocaine

I loved it! Apart from the very end, which was a bit slow and ruined it a touch. The love interest was a bit weak imo, but it was still a great movie! The shootout was great.

reply

Possibly my favourite western.

I can't disagree, and I am a big fan of westerns going back to the 1930s. "Open Range" seems to get better every time I see it. It has stood the test of time (almost two decades) without seeming like a dated ideological or stylistic relic of its time. That makes it a classic.
