I wouldn't call myself a fan of Mr. Costner, but I'm not a hater, either. He has a number of films I enjoy very much. Here's a list of his films in the order I've seen them and my like or dislike of them. Possible spoliers.
1. The Big Chill - I'd completely forgotten about this one. Liked it.
2. No Way Out - Loved it. A wonderful political thriller with a nice twist. He and Sean Young had good chemistry IMHO; until she was murdered, of course.
3. Silverado - Loved it. One of my favorite westerns. I wanted a sequel. It's one that I can rewatch infinitely and recite dialogue along with the actors.
4. The Bodyguard - Liked it somewhat; didn't love it.
5. Field Of Dreams - Sorry, I know this one is loved, but it was all I could do not to turn it off.
6. Tin Cup - Liked it somewhat because I used to play golf, didn't love it.
7. The Postman - Liked this one more than most people.
8. Robin: Prince Of Thieves: Absolutely adore this film. Had a good time watching it with my two children when it came on premium channels. It's another one I can re-watch and recite dialogue with. My kids were crazy about Friar Tuck
9. The Untouchables - My wife loves this one. I like it a great deal. Mr. Costner and Mr. Connery had great chemistry.
10. Wyatt Earp - Loved it. Another on my list of favorite westerns. To my knowledge, the most historically accurate film ever made about this iconic shootist. I am much more of a Kurt Russell fan than I am Costner, and I also loved Tombstone. The depiction of the famous gunfight at the OK Corral was more historically accurate in Tombstone, but Wyatt Earp was more accurate overall. Hope I didn't make you dizzy there.
11. Open Range - The third Costner entry on my list of fave westerns. He, Ms. Bening and Mr. Duvall have wonderful chemistry. The gunplay is just incredible.
Last and certainly least
12. Waterworld - Had a few redeeming qualities, but just didn't do it for me. I love other post-apocalyptic films like the Mad Max franchise (except the newest one) but I just could not get into this one.
And that's my Kevin Costner list.
