africans are not black people.

in the movie Zee mentioned its his people too (or something like that).
well its not.
black people live in in USA for over than 200 years, black people are part of the american civilization as much as anyone else. africans are not americans(his people).

reply

I don't know your ethnicity but many American blacks relate to African culture and its people. That they are more American then African is besides the point. People have a right to identify with the ethnic group with whom they wish and if Zee believed the people he was helping were ethnically his then they were and you have no right to debate the point.

I'm totally confused by your statement. I'll come back tomorrow before i start drinking to see if it makes any sense then.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

If "africans are not black people", what are they, please tell... Are they perhaps blue people, and 3D, like those from Avatar (in both movies there is a jungle)?

reply

I lol'd.

And I'm black.

Black is a color, not a nationality. The only "African-Americans" are people who were born in Africa and now are American citizens or those who have dual citizenship. Its fine to be proud of your heritage but if you were born in the USA and have never even been to Africa (and neither have your parents) then you are not African.
The same could be said about a woman born and raised in Brasil who can trace her Chinese ancestors all the way back to the Zhou dynasty, she's not Chinese.
