Diversity

I don't watch this show. It is so popular and widely covered that I frequently come across it when I read the news, however, and out of idle curiosity in 'entertainment news' I read a story about it sometimes. I just came across a piece by one Mariah Haas of People magazine (https://news.google.com/news/ampviewer?caurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.people.com%2Fpeople%2Farticle%2Famp%2F0%2C%2C21022649%2C00.html#pt0-902298), who claims that of the show's bachelors, only one, namely Juan Pablo Galavis, has been "non-white". If this is ABC's view, I have news for them. They can stop congratulating themselves. Galavis may not be "White" in the ethnic sense of belonging to the majority group in the U.S. (non-Hispanic Whites), but he is white in that his skin is white, his ancestry is European to the core. And a fact that no doubt contributed to his selection for the show.

You're like three years late to this whole "is Juan Pablo white?" discussion. It was argued about, debated and discussed ad nauseam back when he was on. Nobody cares anymore. He was one of the worst Bachelors in history anyway, no matter what ethnicity he is or where he's from.
