Diversity
I don't watch this show. It is so popular and widely covered that I frequently come across it when I read the news, however, and out of idle curiosity in 'entertainment news' I read a story about it sometimes. I just came across a piece by one Mariah Haas of People magazine (https://news.google.com/news/ampviewer?caurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.people.com%2Fpeople%2Farticle%2Famp%2F0%2C%2C21022649%2C00.html#pt0-902298), who claims that of the show's bachelors, only one, namely Juan Pablo Galavis, has been "non-white". If this is ABC's view, I have news for them. They can stop congratulating themselves. Galavis may not be "White" in the ethnic sense of belonging to the majority group in the U.S. (non-Hispanic Whites), but he is white in that his skin is white, his ancestry is European to the core. And a fact that no doubt contributed to his selection for the show.
