I think there are so many worse movies than Cat In The Hat. Yes it's pretty dumb and kinda dull, but I thought Mike Myers was the best part of the movie. It's the kids I really couldn't stand, their acting was terrible.
It's not a good one, but not a complete disaster.

Where do I even start ranting? Oh, the plot. The plot revolves around the two kids from the book, Conrad and Sally, trying to have “fun.” It starts out like the book, so it will be like the book, right? Right? Right? Wrong. That’s where the movie takes a terrible turn, at about the same time the Cat in The Hat shows up (played by Michael Myers.) And no, not the horror movie psychopath serial killer Michael Myers. (But I bet if you showed a little kid Halloween they would sob and be scarred about the same amount.) Anyway, the plot inches forward with the excruciatingly painful “Fun Song,” (a notorious cringe skit involving the Cat in The Hat in a salsa dancer costume.) By this point I figure most people would turn off the movie. But if you keep watching, there’s another hour of torture waiting for you.share
After another bizarre skit (involving the Cat on a cooking show accidentally chopping off his tail and nearly screaming “son of a bitch) the Cat and the kids have to save their world by closing a box containing a portal to a weird dimension (don’t ask.) This goes on for the next 30 minutes, right to the infamous scene that has been memed to death. Through some mishap involving the Cat being hung in a tree and beaten with a piñata stick (don’t ask,) the Cat tries to beat a little kid over the head with a baseball bat *(again, don’t ask)*and immediately after this the Cat makes a really inappropriate joke (remember? ‘Dirty ho’?) that probably shouldn’t be in a kids movie. If you made it this far, congratulations. The movie doesn’t get any better.
Eventually Sally and Conrad retrieve the lock to close the portal to another dimension, and in the most aesthetically displeasing scene ever with the cheesiest dialogue, make it back home. When they get back home, they get caught by their evil stepdad, who intends to bust them and send them away.
I don't like it but I do think the adult jokes are funny like Dirty Hoe lol
