I recommend another show called, Home Fires aka Jambusters. A great read and equally great TV series. All about the Women's Institute (WI) and the women who ran it during WWII.

I stumbled over it about a month back, on ch 72, is it?
Guy was roughing up his wife in it.
I lost track of it in the TV guide after that, don't know if it is still on, is a lot more sombre than FW..
It was on ABC2, 8:30pm on Sundays. In the last episode the lady who became president of the new WI had connections and got the abusive husband a job away from home, pref in a war zone. So we are waiting for the next season now which will be the last. Pity, I thought it was good.
