Because it wasn't. At all. And Billy Bob is still an obnoxious actor.

It was amusing throughout but I only chuckled a few times. All the cussing did throw me off some. Usually I wouldn’t care, but they went all out with the language!

It was funny and worth the watch, but I thought it would’ve been better.

It's supposed to be polarizing. I spent many years in retail and let's just say that leaves you cynical in a lot of ways during the Holiday Season. I'll always laugh when Willie is fucking in the mall dressing room. "You won't be able to shit right for a week."🤣

I would say that was the intention, yes.

And for me at least it succeeds spectacularly. Easily in my top 5 comedy films of all time.

Definitely in my top Xmas movies of all time. Either you get the humor and find it hilarious or you don't. So just move on and watch Miracle on 34th Street if that's your thing, people.
