Do you have a favourite episode?

Each episode holds a place in my heart. I'm with you on Out of Gas, though. The background of how each crew member arrived on Serenity is great. It also shows the lengths that Mal will go to in order to keep his ship flying and his crew protected.

Right behind that is Jaynestown and Our Mrs Reynolds.

I'm not sure I can pick a favorite episode. A favorite scene of mine is Kaylee in the poofy dress holding the giant strawberry talking with the three women trying to put her down. It's just very true to life in self hating miserable people trying to destroy the joy in others.

I think every episode is great, but the run from "Our Mrs. Reynolds" through "War Stories" is incredible. If I had to pick a favorite, I would go with "Out of Gas". I love the way the cinematography helps the viewer keep track of what part of the story is being told.

That's a good question. I have to go with Shindig, Ariel, Safe, War Stories, Heart of Gold, and Serenity (pilot).

Yeah, I'd have to agree that Out of Gas is the best episode. There are so many story threads told in such an interesting way. Best of all, the back stories of the core crew, and most importantly how they came upon Serenity. She's such an important character, but gets overlooked so easily because most people see her as just a ship. I get a little choked up every time I see the end of the episode where you realize the entire time the salesman is talking, he's going on about some other ship, and all Mal can focus on is the little Firefly off in the distance that has been left to rust in the sun.

Yeah out of gas. But also objects in space. Because I think it was a significant episode for River. And the whole Lion thing.
