TMZ is reporting that actor Ron Glass has passed away at age 71

I met him once at a Comic Con in Australia. Quiet, charming man who genuinely loved the idea that people regarded his work so highly. When he signed my Firefly script book, he was quite happy to consign me 'to the special hell'

RIP loved Shephard

He also played Shepherd Derrial Book in Joss Whedon's beloved and short-lived 2002 sci-fi series Firefly and its sequel movie Serenity.
