Which character do you think treated May the worst? And why?

lol. You just mentioned 'the whole biting the lip incident'. You don't think that was a reason to leave?

May isn't the victim. Sure, you can feel sympathy for the character but she isn't a victim by Adam or Polly. Polly was a user, plain and simple. Adam was simply a person. What makes anyone think that May and Adam were in a serious relationship? There is no indication of this in the movie. May was a freak show the entire time she "knew" Adam. She's fondling his hand while he's asleep at the coffee shop, which he knew about. She stalks him. Why does no one mention the stalking? She's standing outside his door (focus on the one occasion where she says she's been there for two hours).

Just about every person who is posting in this thread that isn't a teenager has went on a date or two with a person and simply didn't call them again. In most of those cases, the majority of them, the person has no real reason except they aren't attracted to them. May gave Adam a hell of a lot of reasons. He got to know her because she was interesting to him and he took it further cause she was cute. Biting the lip and wiping the blood over her face is reason enough to not be around the person. He hears her yelling at a doll, he may not have known specifically it was a doll, but he knew she wasn't yelling at another person. So he's wrong for ditching someone who clearly has psychotic tendencies? And you can judge Adam all you wish but don't lie and say you wouldn't tell your friends about someone like May.

As for Polly, give me a break. I'm not going to call her a whore because that's just silly and immature. She is no saint though. She sweet talks May so that she'll take the cat. She sleeps with her (I'm assuming they did more than just kiss) and (I don't know how much time elapsed but judging by May's obsessive nature, it wasn't much) shacks up with some other girl right after. Do you really think Polly meant it that she'll have the blond go away if May wants? She might have asked her to leave but would have gotten right back with her later, as evident in the fact she is back with her later.

yea, i don't think adam mistreated may at all. why is he an a**hole? because he got freaked out? even after that, he wasn't cruel to her. he [justly] felt awkward and uneasy around her.

adam talking about her to his friends wasn't cowardly. it was simply a guy talking to his friends.

she gave him MANY reasons to not even want to talk to her anymore.

Um...neither of them were bad people, they just got killed by a psychopath.

I personally don't think that ANY of the characters deserved to die. Ambrosia may have been a brutal bitch but, she didn't deserve death. Adam's new gf may have been a bit annoying and rude but, she didn't do jack *beep* to May. The punk rock dude didn't deserve death at all. He did what any sane person would do... freak out. If I saw a cat in a girl's freezer I'd do the same. Adam was just a pussy but he didn't have to die.

The two characters I felt MOST for were the kitty and POLLY. The cat was just moody.. Hey, what cat ISN'T? (I'm NOT just saying this because I'm a cat person. I may love cats but that's not why I said it). Also, Polly was just extremely sweet. She was NOT a whore. She didn't know May was attracted to her. She trusted May and didn't do anything to PURPOSELY hurt her.

May was just a tad bit psycho. I felt for her character but, she was crazy. Shr didn't know her actions were wrong. She was well off the deep end.

That's a pretty easy one, Adam for sure... Polly like May quite a bit, she was sexually intrigued anyway, May was just so unaware she didn't really CLICK with the fact Polly was a lesbian... all May loved was her neck...

Adam liked her till' she went to far for him though, which i think was rational, May was VERY weird, i would've gotten out of the relationship immediately anyway, well, unless i'd known she was going to kill me for my hands after i'd broken up with her. =D

disturbing but enjoyable movie.

I thought Polly was a hottie!

I kind of wish May hadn't killed her!

Polly is quite possibly the worst character I've ever seen depicted in a film. Ever.

And I've seen a lot of movies.

I'm voting for Polly, 'cause no one else is, and also, dude, Adam acted the way he did 'cause he got kinda freaked out and frightened by her. I woulda, too. She became more and more bizarre with him. She never really got bizarre with Polly, though, 'til she killed her, so there isn't any reason for Polly's insensitivity, beyond her just not being the best person.

Death is...whimsical today.

I don't remember alot about this movie since I only saw it once, late at night a long time ago, but from what I do remember I would say that Polly was worse than Adam in her treatment of May. Polly took advantage of emotionally unstable May and May just kind of went along with it all without much complaint up until she's about to reach her breaking point. Adam on the other hand, was a decent guy who just happened to take interest in the wrong person, which ultimately resulted in his death. The worse thing Adam did was to be nice to May in the first place. May was wierd and Adam seemed to accept her quirks but once he saw that she was a psycho, he had to get away from her, which is understandable. I've had one experience with a psychopath and the relationship starts out with them doing and saying things that are usually subtly weird and it gets to the point where you feel like you are losing your own sanity because of their crazy ways. After awhile, they go from being subtle to being more overt. At that point, it is time to run in the other direction.

What a g'wan yawdie?
