Jennifer Lopez Got Dropkicked Off Of The A-list 15 Years Ago Today

Once upon a time, Jennifer Lynn Lopez had it all: movie star status with #1 box office hits to back it up and platinum albums with hit singles to back it up. After going from the top music producer of the 90s to her backup dancer, she finally thought she found her missing puzzle piece (and full acceptance by oyibo America) in a Boston oyibo who she could cook dry arroz con pollo for on national television. Hell, they even revitalized the tabloid industry by being the first celebrity couple with a squish name--Bennifer:

Though she was in the prime of her career and ready to take her fame to the next level, cracks were already starting to show (Ben ducking and dodging the actual setting of a wedding date, Ben being clowned for being made to dress like the Hellman's version of Puffy, Ben's mother not being here for her eldest son marrying some Puerto Rican chick from the Bronx, hausfraus turning on Ben for going from the 'aspirational' Gwyneth Paltrow to a former Fly Girl, Matt Damon balking at the very idea that his BFF would get hitched to the same chick whose ass he literally kissed on her video, Ben looking like he'd rather be elsewhere when they kissed on the Oscar red carpet, Ben cheating on her with strippers in Canada...you get the picture). Yet, it wasn't until they finally released their incredibly hyped movie debut 15 years ago today that Ben Affleck's and Jennifer Lopez's name became dirt in Hollywood:
