So was Wink actually happy for Rabbit?

In the final rap battle after Rabbit has pretty much won, we see Wink smile for Rabbit. So he was actually happy for him, even after what he did and for all the stuff that happened between them. Anyone else notice that?

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Well, he and Wink were friends throughout the film. Wink just wanted to be the big thing and so he hung around with whatever crowd was popular at the time. But I think he was proud of Rabbit that, in spite of everything that happened to him, he went for it and succeeded.

Despite being shady, Wink always knew Rabbit had the talent and was probably kicking himself for not being with 313 when he decided to hang out with Free World.

I think it was like ''Respect''. They all talked big but Rabbit actually put his money where his mouth was

plus Wink also stopped Papa Doc from shooting Rabbit...even if he hit him when he was already on the ground prior to that

reply

That, and he laughed his butt off at the "Looky, how can six dicks be pussies?" crack Jimmy made at the Free World, but stopped when Papa Doc shot him a dirty look.

Wink didn’t hate Rabbit. He slept with Rabbit’s girl, but he didn’t hate him.

Notice when they beat him up, he looks like he feels bad. When they hold up Jimmy to let wink hit him, wink hesitates. He also has stops the dude with a gun. He didn’t want to do it. When the guy says, “we got more than 7 digits from your bitch,” Wink doesn’t smile or anything

so Wink is actually one of the most complex characters in the film aye?
