To the OP, Life wasnt a flop---it was rather a hit.

Also yea I Spy is also sadly underrated, it was utterly hilarious. I wish it made more money at the box office. At least it did decent business on DVD/Video.

The Hudsucker Proxy and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, hands down.

I think most of you are confusing good movies with bad movies.

Defining what is "good" and what is "very enjoyable so could rewatch it multiple times" is sometimes different... lol.

The flop on the top of my list is The Frighteners, which didn't even make back its budget. Some have cited a problem as it being opened the w/e the Atlanta Olympics started. And the star hated being in it. But it's a great macarbre film about ghosts while having a side order of dark humour, and a good film for some guy called Peter Jackson. ^_^

The other is Fire, Ice and Dynamite which is just full of stunts, advertising and good music. The plot is disastrous, but the film is mad fun to watch all the crazy stunts.

Well, 'flop' just means it failed financially. The thread is 'best flops'.

Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within
Near Dark
Both tragic, as they wouldn't make such movies anymore.

Agree with Howard the Duck & Galaxy Quest although the latter wasn't really financially a flop. Similarly underrated were Back to the Future 2 & Predator 2.

no particular order:
1. Van Helsing
2. The Patriot
3. Hostage (2005)

Of the Biggest:
1. Stealth (great action flick)
2. The Alamo (both original and remake)
3. Sahara
4. Mystery Men (classic) (just like Marvel's The Avengers only better)
5. The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (I love punny movies)

Did 'Mystery Men' flop? I know it wasn't a huge hit, but I doubt it was really expensive to make. I loved it.

People, if it is a re-make of another FILM, you need to specify the release year, of the one you're referring to.

Case in point--'The Nutty Professor'. There have been 2. I Spy, on the other hand, wasn't a remake of a film. It was a filmization, of a TV show.
