I have seen this film on demand a few weeks ago and, as I have posted on other boards, what is a "real" woman? People all have different ideas and will say "this is what a REAL woman is like." It bothers me because there is so much of body shaming in society today, this is evidenced perfectly in this thread alone. Thin people aren't okay, curvy people aren't okay. Even aside from just physical, it's even saying more about judgments of an attitude, that all people from a certain group are terrible people. This is not good
I come from a family who is all overweight but in different degrees, but somehow I have always been considered underweight for my height at 5'7 and 108. It is not something I can control, I take care of myself and I eat properly and probably at least twice as much as the people around me
My girlfriend on the other hand, has always been considered a little bit overweight for her height at 5'2 and 145. But like me, it is not something she can control and she also takes very good care of herself and eats very well
I have a very androgenous body with really zero breasts or hips, it's just how I'm built and how my bone structure is. My girlfriend is the exact opposite, very very curvy with a large bust and hips and would be considered a perfect hourglass
Physically we are poler opposites but what is the real difference between us? Absolutely nothing, we are both in perfect health, we were both born as women with the same chromosomes and the same anatomy and the same reproductive organs. Though my gender identity is of a complicated one and I do not always identify as female, I am a "real woman" and my girlfriend is a "real woman," my sister and my mother and grandmother, all other family and my female friends and co workers, they are all unique but they are all "real women"
Real women DON'T look like prepubescent boys.
Women aren't "supposed" to have anything. Hips and vaginas bear children. You got those assets, you can bear children. [/commonsense]
I guess I am not a real woman then because my natural body is too androgenous for female standards. And not everyone can bear children even if they have the right equipment, I guess that segmant of the females are not real women either
