This movie got me into Rammstein. And Drowning Pool. And Flaw. And, to some extent, Queens of the Stone Age. All great bands.

Signiatures suck.

Was the it filmed in a real Rammstein concert, because if it was, they would have had to get release forms off everyone there, and how would they have done the special effects when the guy gets shot. Also how would they have set up all of the cameras, so that the crowd didn't block them.?? Many Thanks. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm somewhat of a fan. There lyrics are weird because it's german lol but there guitars kick ass. My favorite songs are Feuer Frei, Du Hast, and Buch Dich. I downloaded the english version of Du Hast. It means "You Hate"

reply

i love the fact its in german, makes it sound better.
i have a few of the songs on english, and boy does it make a difference.

Slightly off on that. Du Hast is you have and Du Hasst is you hate. But the similarity is intentional.

I find it really funny that if you look to see how many comments each thread has, this one has gotten the most. I'd love to know how many R+ fans (like myself) only watched this film to see the guys then turned it off. It's true -- I've never seen the whole movie and have no interest in it.

They should've made this with Till instead -- he's bigger and prettier than Vin Diesel any day!

I generally dislike metal, but Feuer Frei is an exception for me- it is just so awesome and badass. xXx's opening is one of the coolest I've ever seen.

You might like what else Rammstein do, since their music is not exactly metal. They do a wide mix of hard rock/industrial, etc., even some ballads. They're fantastic.

reply

I like Du Hast. That's good.

reply

you like Du Hast?

well that's typical

You should check out the Lichtspielhaus dvd. It is Very Artistically done! Everything from a twisted Snow White video to werewolves! It's a very cool dvd, especially if you have a big screen and a good multichannel system!

reply

Gotta say, as far as action movies go. This has HANDS DOWN the perfect intro! You can't beat the whole fish out of water element when the James Bond character, is thinking he's about to attend some ritzy party dressed in tux and all... only to enter a gothic church with a German industrial band playing, fire all around, and even flames shooting from the guitarists mouth!!

It is kind of appropriate that the "Bond guy" assassination sequence is right as Rammstein says "Feuer Frei" (open fire). Kinda hits the nail on the head.

The movie is fun for a bit. But seriously, I'll just watch that first scene too. It really gets me ramped up!!!

reply

Heehee -- coming back three years later to say that I finally watched the whole movie last night. Should've left it that way -- the rest was not worth the time spent, especially compared to the fantastic opening 5 minutes! :D

I owe the creaters of xXx a huge thanks for having Rammstein beeing apart of the movie because if I haven't seen it, I would not know who Rammstein was, I remember it like it was yesterday when I was watching XXX for the first time when I was 13 and at the beginning of the movie, I saw Rammstein performing and I had no idea who they where and I was sitting on that couch silent just asking myself silently, "Who the *beep* are these guys?" I got the XXX soundtrack and Feuer Frei was on it and I started to love it. Today, I still love this band, I have every song and music video from Rammstein on my ipod. I owe it all to this movie.

i havent seen this movie, but ive seen the feuer frei scene, and its soooooo coooool!

it actually started with one of my friends saying: hey ive heard that before, in a movie called xXx! when i let him listen to the track

I love rammstein!
you know any other movies with rammstein playing? please tell me about them!!!

reply

I don't think there are any more movies with Rammstein in 'em. But Feuer Frei is a song that suits the movie very well. The movie is pretty cool, especially if you love all that action stuff and sexy girls in bikinies. But dude, Samuel L. Jackson and Vin Diesel in one action movie, that was amazing.

Rob Zombie's "Halloween" ROCKED!!

reply

Rammstein Is Awesome, i saw this movie just for them too. I love watching the rammstein vid for Feuer Frei where Till towers in comparison to short as Vin Deisel. Tills the man.

reply

Vin is listed a 6'2" I believe. I am not sure how tall Till is, but he'd have to be much taller than 6'2" to tower over him. I'm 6'2", but have a lot of friends taller than me. Coolness factor though, Till's the man! As in other posts, I implore you to pick up the Lichtspielhuas dvd if you don't already on it! Feuer Frei and a lot of other really kick ass tracks are on there!

Yepp, he played some kind of dumb bad guy in a kid´s movie which was about a penguin. I believe the name was Asmus the penguin, but I´m not 100 % sure. Lindemann did an incredible job considering he is not an actor, although it was just a supporting role.

reply

It's Amundsen der Pinguin. And yes, Till was great in it ;) However, that wasn't 1999. The guys were in another movie called The Debtors, which never saw the light of day. Look it up here at IMDB.

reply

If you like that song, check out their dvd, 'Lichtspeilhaus'! It's AWESOME! That video and lots of other really artistically done videos!

reply

whoever said that laibach and rammstein sound alike isn't the sharpest person in the world. yeah maybe there vocal styling sounds similiar but the instrumental parts are completely different

reply

I really like Rammstein. My favourite songs are Sonne, Ohne Dich, Reise Reise and Feuer Frei.
