I think the actual address was feardotcom.com. As somebody else pointed out on this board, there was probably a fear.com already, and the producers were too cheap to buy the domain name from them. I checked it out about a year ago. It had some nice graphics, like the site in the movie, but (if I remember correctly) there was really nothing to do there. Oh, and I didn't die. I jus

Fear.com is the one that says "Boo!"

Feardotcom.com (I know, it's stupid) is the official site for the movie. It has trailers, merchandise, etc.

The Exorcist (possibly the best horror flick of all time)

Halloween (invented the slasher genre)

Rosemary's Baby

Fahrenheit 9/11 (people buy into his s**t?)

Psycho

I saw a porno once where the guy's penis was bent... the thought alone was scarier than Blair Witch.

Dawn of the Dead - original (imagine being in a truly inescapable situation such as this)

oh, and here's one...

FearDotCom - truly, absolutely horrifying that there was more than one person in hollywood that decided it was a good idea that this film should be made.

This is just going on story alone, if you'd like atristics to come into play let me know and I'll elaborate on my list, however, concerning Blair Witch, there is nothing frightening about people going out into the woods, hearing some noises for a couple days, bitching about a map, a bunch of sticks hanging from trees and then, for a grand finale (SPOILER if you could call it that)....

a camera falls onto the ground.

My God, I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight recalling all that terrifying palmcorder action.

I went to feardotcom.com not ever seeing the movie and thinking it would be some wierd stuff like the Saw movie site but I was thrown a paragraph of complete s***. Then I went to www.fear.com and thought it would be some wierd site like the Saw movie site. I was thrown some s*** about sending Rove to Gitmo. You wanna see some scary website? Alright go to google and type in scary pictures. Enjoy. Idiot.

AND THERE WAS THE PILLSBURY DOUGH BOY floating across my freaking screen, drawing a smiley face in purple icing. I think it was an add for pillsbury icing. But man oh man did that make my day.

Now there's an awesome site. It's hard to make your way through it, very perplexing. The movie is terrific. I bought it when it first came out on DVD for something like $12.

I feel stupid saying it but Scream is probably the scariest movie I've ever seen, but after seeing Scary Movie and Shriek if You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th I relised how really stupid the movie was. Scream contained satire that poked fun at the slasher genre. It intentionally used cliche characters and events. Scary Movie mostly made fun of modern horror movies, which Scream is one of. It's not Scream that's stupid, just you.

Really? In my opinion, even the Japanese 1995 TV movie, Ring: Kanzenban, is better than the American remake.

But if you want the original Ring story, which is, IMO at least, the best, just go read the Ring novel. ;)

I just saw the trailer for the movie and thought "what if I typed in the website adress that is the same as the site the people in the movie log into??"

I typed in feardotcom.com in the adress bar and it takes me to http://feardotcom.warnerbros.com which is a site where it has the trailer, pictures, and a way to order the movie...but that's been posted many times already, but I just needed to post my experience anyway...

What are the purposes of signatures!!..
