I liked this movie, except I found that Beyonce's dreadful performance ruined it for me. She and Mike Meyers had no chemistry whatsoever. They barely even touched throughout the entire film. Her performance was flat and one dimensional and unnecessary. They should have hired an actual actress.

The concept of Beyonce's characters as blacksploitation character is great, but little is done with it. She has no character development at all. At least you see some change in Vanessa and Felicity.
The part that grated on me the most was the significantly lower amount of sexual humor and inneundo in this film. I think that fears/uncertainties of mecegenation are alive and well, unfortuantely. The producers/writers don't want to make people uncomfortable by making Austin and Cleopatra really lovers... That chaste kiss was ridiculous! Austin rocks out with his cock out and is shagging left and right! I don't get their luke warm relationship.

1. Beyonce was great for one of her first acting roles, especially when being a parody of Blaxploitation females
2. She's beautiful, way better looking than Heather Grahm's bugged eyed ass
3. If she really "ruined" the movie, they would have re-cast her, if the same people that made the first 2 Austin Power's movies great did this one, they knew what they were doing

Too, I think it's probably jealousy(as Beyonce is a very popular girl), as I can't believe one actress (who wasn't in the entire film) can ruin what was onscreen.

I think she did well no matter what the haters say. (And 'Goldmember' was an improvement over the 2nd one...although, I think the first film is still the best...as it managed without the potty humor that the 2nd and 3rd films seemed to rely upon).

I totally agree, Beyonce and Mike had NO chemistry whatsoever! Heather and Liz were way better in their roles and Liz had the best chemistry with Mike. Watching Beyonce and Mike kiss at the end was like watching siblings kiss ewww

Thanks for your (informed?) critique of Ms. Knowles, although we should all be wary of one thing. Ever since Dorothy Dandridge played Carmen Jones, and Josephine Baker did Ziegfield, it is a given. When a beautiful black woman manages to land a role in a big-budget feature, ugly/white women will uniformly not approve of her "performance", while their male significant others will just secretly drool. And, as for singers needing to stay out of acting, does anybody bother to remember the masterful, Oscar-winning/nominated performances of people like Cher and Diana Ross? Conversely, also note the occasional horrid performances given by some who are purely described as actresses. Git a grip, you closet bigots.

I totally agree. Beyonce's a terrible actress. I would have enjoyed the movie a lot more if she hadn't been in it. Austin and Foxy had no chemistry and she was just plain annoying throughout the entire film. She should not act EVER again, although I'm sure she will. (She's one of the reasons I didn't ever see "Dream Girls." She needs to realize that she really has no acting talent whatsoever.)
